Diyora Tursunova Diyora is a professional pianist and teaching artist She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, her Master of Music degree from Syracuse University, and a Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes School of Music. From an early age, Diyora received international acclaim for her piano performance, appearing as a featured artist at notable venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center (NYPL Performing Arts), Bohemian National Hall, Tenri Culture Institute, and Ernst C Stiefel Concert Hall. As a dedicated educator, she has taught piano and music in New York and beyond, developing student-centered approaches that blend creativity and classical tradition. She is excited to join GEMS Premier Music Academy as a music teacher and inspire the next generation of young musicians. Grace Watson Grace specialises in piano, songwriting, and voice as well as Ukulele and Flute. Grace is a versatile music educator and music therapist, and holds a degree in Music Performance and Production (LCCM), a master's degree in music therapy (Nordoff Robbins), and a PGCert in Songwriting (ICMP). Grace has taught in private, school, and community settings across the UK, working with individuals, groups, early years, and those with special educational needs. Her career spans teaching, leading therapeutic music sessions, and performance. A founding member of GEMS Premier Music Academy, Grace is passionate about nurturing deep musicality and lifelong learning in every student. Guillermo Mena Guillermo teachers guitar, piano, drums, bassoon, and music theory Guillermo is a Cuban musician and educator with a bachelor's degree in Art Education and over six years of teaching experience in Cuba and the UAE and possesses professional fluency in both Spanish and English. Guillermo has successfully guided students through Trinity, ABRSM, and MTB exams across all school levels and is passionate about nurturing musical talent and empowering learners through creativity and discipline. A founding member of GEMS Premier Music Academy, Guillermo is committed to building an inclusive and dynamic music programme that encourages excellence and celebrates diversity Joshua Eccles Joshua specialises in trombone, baritone/euphonium, trumpet, guitar, and piano Joshua holds a bachelor’s degree from Canterbury Christ Church, UK, and a master’s degree in Music Education from Trinity Laban in London. With teaching experience in Hertfordshire and performing in brass bands, orchestras, and big bands across Southeast England and London, he has taught nearly 1,000 students in whole-class settings. Joshua brings his wealth of expertise and enthusiasm for teaching to the GEMS Premier Music Academy team Johann Sebastian Johann specialises in audio signal flow, digital recording, mixing techniques, and critical listening. Johann is a music production and sound engineering educator. As a versatile musician, Johann also plays and teaches guitar, piano, drum, saxophone, and singing. He graduated with First Class Honours in Sound Engineering from CMR University and has taught in both in-person and online settings. Johann has engineered live sound for a wide range of events and productions and performed at Art Fusion Night and the DIHAD International Conference. As a self-produced artist, he has released over 25 tracks and three full-length albums, which have amassed over 10,000 cumulative streams worldwide. Now part of GEMS Premier Academy’s founding team, he aims to build a sonically curious and technically sharp student community Hannah Rankin Hannah is a professional bassoonist specialising in woodwind performance and education A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Academy of Music, London, she was the first to complete a professional diploma in contrabassoon. Hannah has performed with ensembles including the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre and Rochester Symphony Orchestra and led chamber groups as a Wigmore Hall Education Fellow. Passionate about inclusive musicmaking, she has worked extensively with SEN children and the elderly. Now, as a founding member of GEMS Premier Music Academy, Hannah looks forward to developing and nurturing creativity throughout the GEMS schools and supporting children in their musical development teaching woodwind and piano. Verena Koay Verena specialies in upper strings and piano Verena is an internationally acclaimed violinist and educator. She holds a BMus (Hons) in Music Performance (First Class) from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and an MA in Music Therapy with Distinction. A UK HCPC-registered music therapist and experienced educator, Verena draws on her therapeutic expertise to create a teaching approach that emphasises wellbeing and personality development in students through music. As a founding member of GEMS Premier Music Academy, she is dedicated to cultivating not only technical excellence and musicianship but also discovering each student’s unique musical voice, integrating wellbeing and personal growth into every lesson. Marina George Marina George is a singer, vocal coach, and music transcriber Marina has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Cairo University. She has worked for over seven years as a soprano member with Cairo Opera Choir, Cairo Celebration Choir, and The United Philharmonic Choir. Marina has led individual and group vocal sessions, formed award-winning school choirs, and performed at major events including The Pharaohs’ Golden Parade and The Sphinx Avenue Opening. She has shared the stage with Majida El Roumi and Hiba Tawji and has played leading roles in musical theatre performances. As a founding member of GEMS Premier Music Academy, she is excited to help shape a creative and inspiring space for voices to grow, as well as teaching piano and guitar. Fadi Alkhouri A dedicated educator and musician teaching a range of drums, percussion and piano Fadi holds a bachelor’s degree in Music from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and earned first place in his graduation performance. With a vibrant career spanning hundreds of concerts, he has performed with orchestras, bands, and renowned artists as a drummer and percussionist. A dedicated educator and musician teaching a range of drums, percussion and piano, Fadi continues to inspire through teaching and performance. He is excited to join GEMS Premier Music Academy, where he looks forward to sharing his experience and helping nurture the next generation of performers. Meet the Team
